NBA player ratings, era-adjusted

Every player the all-time pool rates 85 or above, with the attributes behind each number. Each man is scored against the league he actually played in, so a 1962 season and a 2026 season sit on one scale without either being flattered.

How to read this table

OVR is the overall rating, 0–99. The six columns after it are the attributes it is built from: scoring, playmaking, rebounding, perimeter defence (PerD), interior defence (IntD) and efficiency. Each is scored within position and within the player’s own season, which is why a guard is not marked down for rebounding like a guard. PPG is the raw per-game scoring average, included so the derived numbers can be checked against something familiar.

This is the all-time scale: every player at his three-season peak, with accolades counted. The same players rate differently on the current-season scale, which judges this season alone — that table is at current NBA player ratings.

The method behind every number is written up in full on how the ratings work, including every weight and the things it deliberately does not measure. Nothing on this page was hand-adjusted. Players sharing a rating are genuinely tied; within a band they are listed alphabetically, which is arbitrary rather than a ranking.
